Welcome back to The Breakdown ya’ll!

Summer is getting closer with every day and festival season is breathing down our necks.

It’s time to get excited.

Today’s content comes to us from: Snails, JELO and Hatiras, and Damn Kids

Let’s go!

snails - magnet

In exciting news, Snails has just released his debut EP on Kannibalen Records.

We’ve been used to free downloads of Snails‘ future trap music for quite some time and now all that hard work has paid off. Beatport is about the feel the wrath of Snails.

Magnet EP is a double-sided release featuring two original mixes; one being a collaboration with fellow Kanni team member Apashe.

The title track, Magnet, sees Snails pushing the envelope with his earth-shaking drums, warped-style of modern talking, and unconventional blend of countless genres.

Second on the EP is the collaboration with ApasheStaxx. The follow-up to their wildly successful Bubble Gun is comprised of deep horns and hyped vocals leading us to the drop where you’re eagerly greeted by a flurry of lasers, deep growls, and Apashe‘s signature wobbling synth.

JELO and fellow Torontonian Hatiras have just released the remix EP for their throwback Beatport top 10 hit, SpeakerHumper.

The simplistic and stripped-down electro original receives a makeover from three new faces, plus an updated rendition from Hatiras himself.

The refreshingly new take from Hatiras is a hypnotizing techno heater that will command your feet and hips to life with its rolling percussion and heavy drum work.

Frederik Mooij keeps it in the realm of electro with his remix that’s comprised of gritty synths, pitched builds, and carefully placed vocal samples.

Stuart Software is still a relatively new name to most, but that’s likely to change following the release of this remix package. Rattling snares, fat bass, and dutch-influenced synths make for a classic trap thumper.

Lastly, Str!pe kicks things into high-gear with his gnarly dubstep rendition. Gritty wobbles, bright synths, and lasers work to create an eyes-closed and sweaty palms kind of production.
